As part of the work of the Center on RTI, Dr. Sarah Arden is currently working closely with elementary and middle school staff from the Uinta County Schools #1 in Evanston Wyoming to provide comprehensive training on the implementation of data-based individualization (DBI) for students with severe and persistent learning needs in the area of reading. Arden’s work is occurring in conjunction with other ongoing initiatives in Wyoming including district-wide implementation of MTSS and the development of the state’s Statewide Systemic Improvement Plan (SSIP) as part of Results Driven Accountability (RDA). This project is ongoing through the 2015-2016 school year and focuses on the connections between students in need of the most intensive levels of intervention and the process of making data-based decisions to provide, adapt, and individualize such intervention.
