From 2009 to 2013, AIR has worked closely with Wisconsin and the Wisconsin RTI Center to support RTI implementation. AIR helped Wisconsin select pilot sites and provide resources and training to the sites. AIR participated in state advisory meetings and provided resources and information as needed. In addition, AIR worked with the Wisconsin RTI Center and Wisconsin Department of Public Instruction to develop a comprehensive Wisconsin Intensive Interventions Selection Tool based on reviews conducted by AIR, the What Works Clearinghouse, and the Best Evidence Encyclopedia to assist school and district teams in selecting the intensive interventions required for implementing Wisconsin's new specific learning disabilities (SLD) eligibility criteria. AIR also participated in and helped to develop a community of practice with Wisconsin and other states focused on the connection between RTI and the Common Core State Standards.
