The National Center on Intensive Intervention’s staff and advisors have authored a new book, Essentials of Intensive Intervention, coming out May 23, 2019. The book, edited by Rebecca Zumeta Edmonds, Allison Gruner Gandhi, and Lou Danielson, covers an introduction to intensive intervention using the DBI process; key features of assessment within DBI; integration of academics and behavior; considerations for students with intellectual disabilities; readiness; teaming; and implementation within the context of special education and multi-tiered systems of support (MTSS).
